A bit of oh là là in France #wheninparis

An excerpt from my book... I was in France as part of my university
studies, volunteering at a school. It was here I met Michel. He was ten years
older than me, married and a senior teacher. It would have been impossible for
me to be aware that this was to become an emerging pattern…
Michel was tall, blue-eyed and handsome. I was always
surprised whenever we had sex because he was thirty-one and so I foolishly – as
I now know – presumed he’d prefer to snuggle down with his “le pipe et pantoufles”, rather than
engage in a bit of oh là là with me. And an extra point if you can spot the
little French pun there – what else might “le
pipe” refer to? That’s right. A cock. Or, more accurately, it’s French
slang for fellatio, or blow job, if you will.
The period Michel et
moi spent together was brief, yet fantastique.
He used to love kissing my pieds. He
even left his femme for me – I’ll
stop the Frenchisms now – before eventually going back to her. I must have been
the clichéd mistress for him to tick off his list. Thankfully, though, my
placement was nearly up and so I left France with – just one more – a coeur brisé and beautifully painful
memories. How and why is it that some people get under your skin more than
others?
